1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the SupaQR website located at https://supaqr.com (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to all of these Terms, do not access or use the Service.
These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service. Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms.
2. Service Description
SupaQR provides an online platform that enables users to:
- Generate QR codes for various purposes
- Create shortened URLs for easy sharing
- Upload and share documents through generated links
- Manage and track their generated content
The Service is provided "as is" and SupaQR reserves the right to modify or discontinue the Service at any time without notice.
3. User Accounts
Account Creation
To access certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You can register using:
- Your email address
- Google account
- GitHub account
Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activities that occur under your account
- Providing accurate and complete registration information
You must be at least 13 years old to use our Service. If you are under 18, you may only use the Service with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
4. User Content
Content Ownership
You retain ownership of all content you create, upload, or generate through the Service, including QR codes, shortened URLs, and uploaded documents.
License to SupaQR
By using the Service, you grant SupaQR a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to:
- Store, host, and display your content
- Technically process your content as required to provide the Service
- Backup your content for disaster recovery purposes
Content Retention
Files uploaded to the Service are stored permanently unless:
- Actively deleted by the user
- The user account is terminated
- Required by law or legal process
Note: Deleted content may persist in backup systems for a limited time but will not be publicly accessible.
5. Prohibited Activities
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any laws, regulations, or third-party rights
- Generate QR codes or shortened URLs for malicious purposes
- Distribute malware, viruses, or harmful code
- Upload or share illegal, infringing, or harmful content
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
- Engage in phishing, spamming, or fraudulent activities
- Circumvent any security measures or access controls
- Overload the system through automated means
SupaQR reserves the right to investigate and take appropriate legal action against anyone who violates these Terms, including removing content, suspending or terminating accounts, and reporting to law enforcement authorities.
6. Intellectual Property
SupaQR's Rights
All rights, title, and interest in and to the Service (excluding content provided by users) are and will remain the exclusive property of SupaQR and its licensors. This includes all software, visual interfaces, graphics, design, compilation, and other aspects of the Service.
Trademarks
The SupaQR name, logo, and all related names, logos, product and service names, designs, and slogans are trademarks of SupaQR. You must not use these marks without prior written permission.
7. Third-Party Services
The Service utilizes third-party providers to deliver functionality:
- Supabase: For authentication, database, and file storage
- Cloudflare: For content delivery and security services
- Resend: For email delivery and notifications
- Google Analytics: For usage analytics and service improvement
Your use of these third-party services may be subject to separate terms and privacy policies. SupaQR is not responsible for the practices of these third-party services.
When you authenticate using Google or GitHub, you are subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies in addition to these Terms.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. SUPAQR DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY
- FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
- NON-INFRINGEMENT
- ACCURACY OF GENERATED QR CODES OR SHORTENED URLS
- CONTINUOUS OR ERROR-FREE SERVICE
SupaQR does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or free from errors or harmful components.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SUPAQR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
- INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES
- LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES
- DAMAGES RESULTING FROM UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO OR ALTERATION OF YOUR CONTENT
- THE CONDUCT OF ANY THIRD PARTY USING THE SERVICE
IN NO EVENT SHALL SUPAQR'S TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO SUPAQR IN THE PAST SIX MONTHS OR $50.00 USD, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages, so the above limitation may not apply to you.
10. Termination
SupaQR may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms.
Upon termination:
- Your right to use the Service will cease immediately
- All QR codes and shortened URLs you created may become inactive
- Uploaded documents will be scheduled for deletion
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support or through your account settings.
11. Modifications to Terms
SupaQR reserves the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes through the Service or via email.
By continuing to access or use the Service after revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the new Terms, you must stop using the Service.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.
